Guizhou officials research Guiyang's rural sheds

A research team led by Zhang Jizhi, director of the Guizhou Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, paid a research visit to Kaiyang county, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on July 7,to learn about progress made in the city's campaign to regulate rural sheds. 

Ma Xiao, director of the Guiyang bureau of agriculture and rural affairs, and Sun Xin, head of the Kaiyang county government, accompanied the research team. 

Zhang said that the central government has been making the rural shed problem a priority and urged governments at all levels to raise their political awareness and curb the illegal use of rural land. 

He attached importance to a precise accountability system, targeted measures, and coordinated work among different government bodies. He also called for the establishment of a long-term management mechanism on rural land based on actual demands of the rural rejuvenation strategy.
