The Wudang district of Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, is expected to continue to advance its rural revitalization in the current year.

Plans are for Wudang to build modern agricultural and industrial systems.

In so doing, Wudang will invest no less than 25 million yuan ($3.95 million) in funds to support the consolidation of poverty alleviation work, 50 million yuan to support rural construction and 25 million yuan to support the development of the agricultural industry.

A raft of 10 previously-issued measures for supporting industry development will be further carried out, to stimulate market operators to participate in rural development.

This year, Wudang will initiate the construction of two rural revitalization demonstration sites at the municipal level and five at the district level.

Meanwhile, the district plans to put forward the construction of nine high-standard farmland projects, four rural living and environmental improvement projects and eight farmland water conservation facility projects.

Another five rural business entities are scheduled to move to the district in 2022.

Additionally, plans are for Wudang to explore a development path featuring reform and innovation.

Measures will include exploring land supply methods for rural industrial development and rural construction, innovating investment and funding mechanisms, and establishing rural revitalization funds.
