Modern agriculture project signing ceremony held

The 2022 Guiyang modern agriculture project signing ceremony was held on Feb 27 in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, involving a total contract amount of 800 million yuan ($119.12 million).

An agricultural material and machinery industrial park, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herb cultivation base, pig farm construction project, and rural e-commerce project were signed into effect.

The agricultural material and machinery industrial park will be established in Guanshanhu district and is expected to become a high-tech industrial park that fuses R&D, logistics and delivery of agricultural material and machinery, as well as create 500 jobs for locals.

The TCM herb cultivation base will be constructed in Xiuwen county and occupy a planned area of 66.67 hectares. The base will hire at least 5,000 people to engage in the herb seed selection and cultivation work.
