Guiyang, Guian increase quality of oilseed rape

Since the winter sowing season began, Guiyang and Guian New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province have been working out measures to increase the land utilization rate and grow more oilseed rapes.

By Nov 17, Guiyang registered 29,646.67 hectares of oilseed-rape-growing areas, exceeding the annual target by 0.7 percent.

The government has taken a series of actions to raise funds for farmers and has issued preferential policies to incentivize them.

In addition, the government is encouraging oilseed rapes to be planted in scenic areas or along highways to enhance the integration of tourism and agriculture.
