After sustained efforts in rural governance, including the renovation of rural housing and living condition improvement, Guiyang and Guian New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province have created several beautiful and livable villages.

For example, Ganjin village in Nanming district has developed a strong fruit and vegetable planting industry and is famous for its peaches, with the total peach planting area exceeding 200 hectares. The village's peaches generate more than 10 million yuan ($1.42 million) annually.

Wangmiao village in Huaxi district has made full use of vacant rural houses to build high-quality homestays and create a variety of tourism products integrating health maintenance, family activities, and farming experience. By developing rural tourism, the village has solved employment problems for more than 60 villagers, who now have an average salary of 3,000 yuan. Tourism brings up to about 500,000 yuan in revenue to the village every year.
