On March 8, the Guiyang bureau of agriculture and rural affairs invited a provincial expert panel, which approved the establishment of a morchella and black fungus demonstration growing base.
The base is located in Kaiyang county and will facilitate the healthy and sustainable growth of the fungus industry by providing useful cultivation technologies.
According to the estimates of the panel, the morchella output per mu (0.07 hectare) at the base reached 342.27 kilograms, worth about 342.27 million yuan ($49.63 million).
