Officials from the Guiyang bureau of agriculture and rural affairs formed an inspection team to review poverty alleviation relocation work being carried out in Xifeng and Kaiyang counties in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, on May 17-18.
Team members were briefed on the financial statement report for completed projects during the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-20) and urged the agricultural and rural affairs departments of the two counties to register information related to relocation work on the national anti-poverty monitoring system.
They also visited newly-built communities for resettled villagers to inspect potential housing safety issues, as well as the supply of gas, electricity and water.
In addition, the bureau urged relevant government units to ensure that at least one person is employed in every impoverished family.
