Guiyang bureau joins hands with leading insurance company

The Guiyang bureau of agriculture and rural affairs signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Guiyang branch of the People's Insurance Company of China Ltd, also known as PICC Group or PICC, on April 7, marking the start of joint efforts in a series of rural vitalization endeavors.

Through intensified collaboration, the two sides will continue to strengthen the digitalization of insurance products, and establish a sound and characteristic rural vitalization guarantee system in Guiyang and Guian New Area. They will also expand the insurance coverage of crops and oil, agricultural products, farmlands, seeds, pigs, and core agricultural technologies.

According to a staff member of the bureau, joint efforts will be made to boost interactions in theory application, innovative practices, and policy support.

The branch also donated insurance products and public welfare funds worth 40,000 yuan ($5,816) to Dushan village of Xiuwen county.
