Progress seen in support for agricultural market entities

The Guiyang bureau of agriculture and rural affairs held a work meeting on June 8, during which officials shared progress made in strengthening the competence of major local agricultural enterprises and raising the product quality of small and medium-sized enterprises.

Work plans on cultivating new agricultural market players and on agricultural product processing were rolled out by the bureau, which also specified 16 supporting and incentive policies, and clarified annual goals and key focuses.

Among the 10 agricultural product processing projects, five have already been launched. The bureau has also extended the application of the Guishangyi platform and increased enterprise visits. Nine new provincial leading agricultural firms have been registered, and application work for 26 new municipal leading firms has been completed.

In addition, the bureau has identified 206 agricultural product processing enterprises to receive support.

Officials of the bureau also compiled loan products for rural vitalization issued by business banks to address information mismatches between financial institutions and agricultural operators.
