Guiyang, Guian focus on developing local seed industry

The 2023 Guiyang and Guian New Area modern seed industry business promotion campaign was held in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, on July 7. The Guiyang (Guanshanhu district) modern seed industrial park and the Yuelu Mountain Guiyang Seed Industry Innovation Center were inaugurated.

In recent years, Guiyang and Guian, with a focus on optimizing the seed industry, have taken measures to support the high-quality development of the seed industry. They have introduced 18 policies to accelerate the cultivation and improvement of enterprise entities, support the introduction of an advantageous and high-quality seed industry, and encourage the expansion and strengthening of enterprises.

The development of the seed industry is crucial for ensuring food security and promoting sustainable agriculture. Guiyang and Guian's efforts in promoting the high-quality development of the seed industry will play a significant role in improving agricultural productivity and enhancing the competitiveness of agricultural products. These measures demonstrate the commitment of Guiyang and Guian in nurturing the seed industry.

Guiyang and Guian have strategically consolidated their seed industry resources and built a modern seed industry ecosystem. This will facilitate the integration of research, production, and marketing, and promote innovation and technological advancement in the seed industry.

Furthermore, Guiyang and Guian's focus on seven significant sectors – grains and oils, vegetables, edible fungi, fruits, pigs, broiler chickens, and aquaculture – aligns with the growing consumer demand for diverse and high-quality agricultural products. By supporting the development of these industries, Guiyang and Guian aim to meet the changing needs of consumers, promote sustainable agricultural practices, and create economic opportunities for farmers and enterprises involved in the seed industry.
