The initiative will involve collaboration between the Guizhou Forryea Group and a team led by Li Defa, an academician at the Chinese Academy of Engineering and dean of the College of Animal Science and Technology at China Agricultural University, to promote the high-quality development of the pig industry in the province.
Li Defa, renowned for his research on efficient feed resource utilization, has significantly contributed to China's sustainable livestock and feed industries. Guizhou Forryea Group, a leading local agribusiness, has developed a comprehensive industrial chain focusing on pig farming, feed production, and meat processing.
This workstation aims to deepen cooperation between enterprises and research institutions in Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area, foster technological innovation, and apply research outcomes in the pig industry.
The partnership will utilize the strengths of both parties, focusing on national and regional strategic needs, and explore a collaborative model centered on academic resources, technological innovation, and industry talent.
Guiyang and Gui'an's agricultural authorities emphasize that this agreement will bolster policy support and advance key projects, including increasing pig production capacity by 100,000 heads.
