Modern facilities are propelling precision agriculture. Through strategic funding and enterprise support, Guiyang and Gui'an have enhanced vegetable farming with advanced monitoring and automated fertilization systems, improving efficiency and quality.

With 25,000 mu (1,667 hectares) of high-standard vegetable bases, the region has significantly boosted self-sufficiency, particularly in winter and spring crops.

Digital empowerment in livestock farming

In Qingzhen county-level city, high-tech poultry farms integrate automated feeding and temperature control, enabling large-scale, efficient farming. Similarly, Guizhou Mengzhu Technology Co's big data platform optimizes pig farming by tracking every production stage. Companies are utilizing automated feeding systems, enhancing productivity and cost efficiency.

Seed innovation and agricultural processing

Gui'an, in collaboration with Yazhou Bay National Laboratory, is now home to Southwest China's first grain and oil test base. This partnership accelerates seed research and high-yield crop development. Agricultural processing is also expanding, with companies like Weite Foods producing premium local products, driving employment and value-added production.

Rural tourism and sustainable growth

Villages like Longguang in Kaiyang county are transforming through agritourism, revitalizing local economies with homestays and eco-tourism. With 10 rural tourism hubs established in 2024, Guiyang and Gui'an are fostering sustainable rural development, blending innovation with tradition for a prosperous agricultural future.
