Guiyang and Gui'an enterprises help revitalize villages

The progress meeting for Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area's "1,000 Enterprises Revitalize 1,000 Villages" initiative was held on March 28.

Outstanding groups were recognized for their contributions, and the Guiyang Federation of Industry and Commerce signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Guiyang Branch of the Agricultural Bank of China to further support rural vitalization.

In 2024, 612 private enterprises and business associations participated in the initiative, implementing 168 revitalization projects that benefited 169 villages through industrial, employment, consumption, and public welfare assistance.

Among the 168 projects, 50 focused on industrial revitalization with an investment of 650 million yuan ($89.43 million), while 84 public welfare projects contributed donations worth 37.99 million yuan.

Participating enterprises and business associations signed fixed labor contracts with over 800 villagers, providing employment opportunities for more than 10,000 workers and promoting agricultural product sales exceeding 2 billion yuan.

The initiative has led to the establishment of one demonstration park, 10 model projects, and 30 pilot sites. Notable cases include Qingzhen Wens' "411 Cooperation" model, Sifang Agriculture's "Company + Base + Farmers" model, Guizhou Nongwuyou's "Planting + Processing + Agritourism" approach, and Gui'an's innovative Longbao rice farming model.
