Nearly 200 trainees from Xifeng, Xiuwen, Kaiyang, and other regions participated in a practical training conference on agricultural drone operation on April 25 at the Guiyang Zhongke Engineering Technician College, which the Guiyang bureau of agriculture and rural affairs organized.
The training aimed to standardize drone operation procedures, familiarize participants with laws and regulations related to drone flight and airspace management requirements, enhance basic operational skills and safety protocols for drones, and improve practical application capabilities.
The training combined theoretical and practical sessions. The theoretical session provided a detailed interpretation of agricultural drone subsidy policies, explaining the scope, standards, and application procedures in an accessible manner to help trainees understand the policies' benefits.
Comprehensive and in-depth instruction was delivered on topics such as the development trends of low-altitude drones, qualifications for drone operators, agricultural drone applications, and relevant laws and regulations.
During the afternoon practical session, trainees were introduced to various advanced drone equipment. In the simulated flight training, instructors guided participants through using remote controllers, performing takeoff/landing maneuvers, and executing straight-line flights, turns, and scanning route operations.
During hands-on flight exercises, instructors demonstrated key procedures such as battery charging and installation, pre-flight operational checks, remote controller functionalities, and pesticide spraying, allowing trainees to grasp essential operational techniques.
In the maintenance and upkeep session, detailed explanations were provided on daily maintenance of agricultural drones, battery and charging station care, and maintenance of the spraying system, emphasizing that proper upkeep is critical for ensuring long-term stable drone performance.
