Huali town of Kaiyang county in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has been prioritizing grain production, promoting high-quality varieties and scientific planting techniques, and strengthening field management guidance and services throughout the entire growth cycle.

Coupled with favorable weather conditions this year, the overall growth of corn across the town far exceeded that of previous years, marking a bumper harvest. Statistics show that this year's corn planting area reached 14,033 mu (935.33 hectares), with the estimated total output increasing by over 1,000 metric tons compared to last year, setting a new high in recent years.

The entire town is currently making the most of the sunny weather to carry out corn harvesting, husking, shelling, and drying, with the harvest expected to be completed by mid-September to ensure every grain is safely stored.

Next, Huali will organize agricultural technicians to visit villages, guiding farmers on proper corn storage to prevent mold and insect infestation. It will also streamline sales channels to help farmers promptly sell their corn and safeguard their profits.

Additionally, the town will summarize this year's successful corn planting experience, hoping to lay a foundation for expanding high-quality grain planting areas and enhancing overall productivity next year, fully supporting food security and boosting rural vitalization.
