The first custom bus route in Jiuan township, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, was launched on Sept 1.

Located in the northwest part of Huaxi district, Jiuan had been unable to open a bus route for many years due to its remote location and challenging road conditions.

After the Jiuan township government proposed the idea of opening a bus route, the Guiyang Bus Northern Operations Branch conducted many on-the-spot surveys in the countryside and held multiple meetings in the township.

It coordinated to improve road safety, clearing weeds along the route and adding warning signs, and conducted in-depth research on the needs of villagers, deciding on an operational model with fixed times, fixed location and fixed stops.

Guiyang Bus selected the 11-seat micro bus to ensure that the vehicles can travel flexibly and ensure safety and comfort. This dedicated route, which is 18 kilometers long, starts from the Jiuan township people's government building and features 12 main stops.

Guiyang Bus will continue to optimize the departure frequency and operating hours of the dedicated route based on passenger flow and the needs of villagers.
