Guiyang and Gui'an's agricultural product processing value exceeds 100b yuan

Since 2021, Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area have been strengthening the foundation of agricultural modernization, boosting high-efficiency agriculture in mountainous areas, and improving the production capacity of key agricultural products, such as grain, vegetables, fruits, meat, eggs, and milk.

The variety of categories has expanded, and supply has become more abundant, with innovations in agricultural seeds having yielded significant results. Measures have been taken to construct a seed industry innovation hub in the province, and intelligent agriculture has surged.

The integrated pilot program for the research and development, manufacturing, promotion, and application of mountain agricultural machinery has been accelerated, with the comprehensive mechanization rate for major crops reaching 63 percent, making farming more convenient, efficient, and dynamic.

The total output value of agricultural product processing has surpassed 100 billion yuan ($14.04 billion), and the processing conversion rate has increased by 18 percentage points compared to 2025, creating stronger brand influence and market competitiveness.
