At the 7th Guizhou Provincial "Village with Boundaries, Creativity without Boundaries" Rural Tourism Entrepreneur Competition on Dec 9, the "Fun Go Pet Camp" project and the Shuidong Countryside project in Gui'an New Area won top 10 innovation and entrepreneurship awards.
The "Fun Go Pet Camp" project, which was launched and put into operation this year in Songlin village, has increased the value of local agricultural products, provided employment opportunities for villagers, and revitalized the rural consumer market by planning unique pet-themed activities.
It included the renovation of idle rural houses and attracted urban pet-owning families eager for immersive experiences, while promoting the deep integration of urban consumer demand with rural areas. This offered fresh ideas for the innovation of agricultural, cultural, and tourism formats.
Another award-winning project, Shuidong Countryside, addresses the pain points of idle rural resources by converting idle houses into business spaces, self-retained land into experiential sites, and villagers into service staff members, while preserving green mountains.
These efforts connected urban capital and consumer demand with rural idle houses, land, and labor, enabling farmers to earn rent, dividends, and salaries while investors gain rural assets, forming a stable community of shared interests.
Next, Shuidong Countryside will continue to deepen its integrated agricultural, cultural, and tourism practices in Guian, enriching the connotation of its formats and enhancing brand value, providing replicable and scalable practical experience for high-quality rural development.
