A thousand hectares of cole flowers in Zhongqiao village, Nanlong township, Guiyang, have reached full bloom. This golden sea of flowers, intertwined with scattered farmhouses and pastoral fields, creates an intoxicating picture of rural springtime.

Zhongqiao has utilized its local resources in recent years to establish the cole flower industry as a key driver for increasing farmers' income, encouraging villagers to adopt a "rice-cole flower" crop rotation.

Through policy support and technical guidance, the village has partnered with agricultural technicians to provide training and promote superior seed varieties and farming methods, boosting both crop yield and quality. Today, 329 households cultivate, covering a total area of over 1,500 mu (100 hectares), making cole flowers one of the region's signature industries.

This year, Nanlong's total cole flower planting area has reached 6,200 mu, with an expected yield of approximately 850 metric tons and a steady increase in total output value. By implementing large-scale, contiguous planting, Zhongqiao has transformed farmland into scenic destinations.

This approach offers multiple benefits, from enjoying flowers in spring to harvesting seeds in summer and pressing oil in autumn; beautifying the countryside, enriching the people, and fueling rural vitalization.
